Certification workflow is a structured process designed to define the main stages of accessibility certification, ensuring that inspected facilities, vessels and tours meet established accessibility requirements.
This workflow includes 3 stages: planning and preparation; inspection; evaluation, review, decision and attestation activities.
Planning and preparation activities include receiving a request for certification, review of this request, certification proposal and certification agreement.
The inspection activities include risks check-up, inspection of the selected facility (vessel or tour), inspection findings analysis, and an inspection report.
Evaluation, review, decision and attestation activities include evaluation of inspection results against Sage Best Practices and pertinent national and international accessibility standards, review of evaluation results, certification decision making , issuance of the Certificate and granting the Badge.
Following the initial certification, a facility, vessel, or tour undergoes a recertification process after a period of three years to ensure sustained compliance with pertinent accessibility standards and Sage Best Practices.
The Sage Inclusion Certificate and Badge serve as proof that certified facility, vessel, or tour has undergone a comprehensive assessment and meets the required standards for accessibility. Our certification showcases five symbols representing different types of disabilities: mobility, visual, hearing, cognitive, and allergies. If certified facility, vessel, or tour is not accessible for a particular disability type, the corresponding symbol will not appear on the certificate or badge. This clear representation ensures that all guests can easily understand the specific accessibility features available.
